D’ROCK, known to family and friends as De’Shawn Jones, is a native of Phoenix, AZ. This 13 year-old artist is making his mark in Hip Hop music with the energy and flair of a dynamo! “D’Rock was drawn to music well before he could talk” says his mother Kimberly. He has been establishing his fan base by giving local performances. With D’Rock’s own style and precise footwork along with his dynamic stage presence he has grabbed the attention of many veteran artist.

Arizona’s own dance troupes, FootKlan and Pre-o-matics have been a platform for D’Rock to develop his performance abilities. He was amongst the “Hip-Hop Junior All-Stars” for both groups which has allowed him to hone his craft. “Dancing is as natural to me as walking and I can’t dream of doing one without the other,” says D’Rock.

 Virtues such as longevity and passion fuel D’Rock and encourage him to strive to be the best. In this industry D’Rock is making his mark, and that is to be original and fresh. Being a diverse entertainer D’Rock is the first to say “I am creative in many areas of entertainment and I feel I will achieve in all the areas that I choose”.

The fire that fuels D’Rock started when he was a hype-man for Lil’ Fame of Phoenix, Az. This former hype-man has now transformed into a headline act, after two years in the rap game.

D’Rock’s various competitions of battles, concerts and guest appearances, shows that hard work is the key to respect and that doors can be opened to your dreams. D’Rock attributes artists such as E-40, Lil’ Wayne and Drake, for his inspiration. Currently he is working on his first highly anticipated album with a few of the industries hottest hit makers.
