At the age of 6, Jose “El Cubanito” (1st Generation Cuban American) became the youngest television star on Univision’s top-rated Sabado Gigante, this lead to many opportunities…he hosted “La Secsion De Los Ninos”. He was so well loved that He remained on the show for 6 years.
Shortly after his time on Sabado Gigante, Jose Felipe Padron (As he would be credited by the Screen Actor’s Guild) played the role of Charitin’s son in a sitcom llamado "Psiquiatra De Mujeres".
1995 brought a huge break for Cubanito, as he was cast in MGM's "The Perez Family”. Not only was he in the movie, but young Jose Cubanito was cast in a starring role. He played son, "Felipe Perez". The cast included Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, Angelica Huston, Chazz Palmentarri, y La Reina De Salsa…Celia Cruz.
Jose had numerous other appearances in television including guest roles in shows like Party of 5, ER, General Hospital, and Moesha. Cubanito also hosted “VJ” and was the voice of Fox Kids Latino America for 3 years.
After conquering TV and the big screen, Cubanito turned his efforts on one of his true loves…Radio! In 2003, he got his break in L.A. at a radio station called Hot 92 Jamz, working on the “Morning Jam Session” doing lots of characters and stunts.
People do a lot of moving in radio and Jose was no different. In 2004 Jose also did morning radio in Riverside at Wild 96.1 y durante ese tiempo he even beat Howard Stern and Piolin in the ratings.
In 2005, Jose “El Cubanito” was hand-picked to start a brand new radio station en el “Valle Del Sol” and Arizona had something new to wake up with. After Co-Hosting on "Latinos on the loose" then the "Morning Mad House" Jose “El Cubanito” was the driving force on JOSE’ EN LA MANANA and became the most-recognized name and voice in the Latino Market.
Jose El Cubanito has found a new home in one of the most successful radio station’s here in Phoenix,
