Power Of A Dollar!
For the cost of a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger or a Large drink at your local convenience store you can help a child in need this holiday season.
Power 98.3 is proud to present Power of a Dollar benefiting the Crisis Nursery. Power 98.3 is hitting the streets night and day this Holiday season showing the Power of a Dollar by collecting a dollar from every single listener we encounter at various locations around the valley.
This is all in part with the Crisis Nursery’s “Hope for The Holidays” campaign. In helping the Crisis Nursery, Power 98.3 will be selling the Crisis Nursery's Gingerbread ornaments, the centerpiece of the Crisis Nursery Hope for the Holidays campaign. Each Ornament will cost $1 each and can be displayed in store windows as well as hung on Christmas trees. Each ornament also contains a holiday greeting with a child’s photo and drawing. All Proceeds will go towards the Crisis Nursery.

Crisis Nursery provides shelter services, developmental day care, foster care recruitment, training and supervision, supervised visitation and family support services. All programs are designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in need, help for families to overcome crisis and encouragement so that they make the right choices and succeed. Crisis Nursery is a 501©3 and an Arizona qualified charitable organization.
Where does your donation go?
All Proceeds from Power of a Dollar will support emergency shelter and support services for children at risk for abuse, neglect and homelessness.
Providing direct care, shelter, clothing, healthy meals and attending
to their medical and educational needs for over 120
children everyday and supporting many others is very costly,
so every dollar truly does help.
Last year Crisis Nursery served 1,041 children
while 419 children called their shelter
home this year. Last year Crisis Nursery also used over 26,000
diapers and pull-ups, over 1,300 shirts,
and over 760 shoes to clothe the children
at their shelter. When it comes to food, nearly 400
pounds of baby formula and over 1000
jars of baby food were used to feed the young children. Over
46,766 lunches were prepared and served
at Crisis Nursery in one year.
These are our children. They live in our community, go to our schools. With everyone’s help we can offer them a better tomorrow. Wouldn’t you give a child in need a chance in life and Hope for the Holidays?
